Description: Brief introduction describing the activities and scope of the group: The objective of the group is to improve research data interoperability through the harmonization of observable property descriptions with a community agreed terminology framework based on existing approaches and terminologies. The WG activities will result into a review and synthesis paper on existing observation-centric semantic models based on identified evaluation metrics/criteria but also with guidance and best practices in applying semantic web technology to describe variable names (observable properties). 1) describe a multi-stakeholder interoperability framework which spans the semantic gradient and 2) describe how to link their own resources into the initiative
