This collection comprises behavioural data from an experiment investigating the imitation of speech by speakers of British English, half of whom were highly trained singers.
The behavioural data include acoustic measurements of speech (fundamental frequency, formant frequencies) and measurements of the spatial position of the speech articulators (specifically, the larynx) during the imitation of words modulated to vary in pitch and apparent vocal tract length.
Details of the study's design, methods and results can be found in the Documentation section.
Functional MRI activation data will be shared when the completed study is published.
