**Description:** This systematic review is part of a Master's dissertation. Several consequences of the clinical treatment of breast cancer (surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and hormone therapy) can negatively affect the quality of life of these patients. Clinical treatment can also be associated with the abandonment or reduction in doses of medication and worsening prognosis. The aim of this study is to evaluate the effects of aquatic exercises in women who underwent radical or partial breast removal surgery. The results of this study may assist physical therapists and physicians during decision making for the non-pharmacological approaches of alterations in the symptoms precipitated by clinical treatments.
