Description: The purpose of this study is to investigate the validity of a newly-formed short form of a measure of youth personality pathology (the Dimensional Personality Symptom Itempool; DIPSI). The DIPSI is a very well-validated and reliable measure of personality pathology, but it consists of 172 items, which can be burdensome for participants. In an effort to reduce the burden of this measure and allow the DIPSI to be used in as many contexts as possible, IRT analyses were used to create a Short Form (81 items). Now that this new version as been created, we need to know whether this Short Form performs adequately in relation to other measures (i.e., establish the validity of the Short Form). This is the question that will guide the study.
