Description: Within this project, we present a comprehensive evaluation of ten de novo assembly tools (long-standing and novel ones) across various short-read RNA-Seq data sets of different species of all kingdoms of life. We evaluated all assembly tools using various metrics and build more than 200 single k-mer assemblies. Our processed read data, all assemblies, execution commands and intermediate alignment files to reproduce our results can be found here.
