This review has been pre-registered here: https://www.crd.york.ac.uk/prospero/display_record.php?RecordID=227867&VersionID=1721997 This systematic review and meta-analysis aims to investigate the effects of educational and psychosocial interventions on adherence to treatment in all stages of chronic kidney disease. The primary interest of analysis is to identify which Behavior Change Techniques are associated with improved adherence behavior. Furthermore, this review aims to examine the extent to which study- and intervention characteristics (such as mode of delivery, use of theory and participant factors) are associated with changes in adherence behavior.
