**Learning Outcomes:** By the end of the seminar, participants should be able to: - Explain what a disk image is and why it is useful for preservation of digital materials - Explain what emulation is and when it is useful for providing access to digital materials - Recall best practices on disk imaging and resources for emulation - Understand what disk imaging and emulation tools can be used to preserve and provide access to digital materials stored in “obsolete” born-digital media **Time:** 10am -12pm, Tuesday, November 19th, 2019 **Location:** Integrated Learning Center (ILC), 112 **Hosts:** This two-hour seminar will be led by members of the [Fostering Community of Practice (FCoP)][1] grant project, “Through Use and Emulation: Increasing Institutional Knowledge of Software Preservation with Computer Game Archiving” and hosted by the University of Arizona Libraries.
