This site contains supplementary materials for "Subjective Beliefs and Economic Preferences During the COVID-19 Pandemic" by Harrison, Hofmeyr, Kincaid, Monroe, Ross, Schneider and Swarthout. The experimental economic software that was written for this study by Brian Monroe and Todd Swarthout, has been pushed to this site from Brian Monroe's GitHub page: https://github.com/bamonroe. A companion Center for the Economic Analysis of Risk (CEAR) working paper entitled "A Case Study of an Experiment During the COVID-19 Pandemic: Online Elicitation of Subjective Beliefs and Economic Preferences" by Harrison, Hofmeyr, Kincaid, Monroe, Ross, Schneider and Swarthout is also hosted on the site. This paper includes all of the experiment instructions for the study, screenshots of the tasks, and a detailed description of the methods we used to run the study. Finally, the site hosts a *Stata* data and code repository to reproduce all of the analyses and figures in the paper. This repo requires *Stata* 15, at least. It has been extensively tested on *Stata* 16.1 and *Stata* 17. For this code to run through, all globals (flags) must be set to "y" in Main.do and /Figures/Figures.do on the first run. This is set as the default. Then you can run separate components of Main.do at will. This repo uses three user-written programs that will be installed automatically when you run Main.do. This means you need to be connected to the internet, or already have these programs installed: estout, mylabels, grc1leg2. You need these programs for the full repo to run. Main.do is easy to follow so read through it first and then run it. It loads all of the ML functions, conducts all of the analyses, graphs the figures, and provides supplementary output for the Appendix. The ML*.DO, Analysis*.DO, Figures.DO and Appendix.DO files are pretty well commented, so they should hopefully be easy to follow. On a 2020 MacBook Air (Intel) with *Stata* 17 MP4, this repo takes 10-14 hours to run. On a Windows *Stata* 17 MP32 machine, this repo takes about 6 hours to run. In other words, don't hold your breath :)
