論文「親の学習観が子の学業達成に果たす役割についての文化的再生産論に基づく検討」のSupplementary informationです。 論文要旨:これまでの研究において、親の持つ学習観が子の学業達成に果たす役割についてはあまり関心を向けられていなかった。本研究では、親の年収、学歴、学習観、子の学歴への期待、および子への関わり行動の関連を検討した。インターネット調査により、小・中学生の子どもを持つ親400名からデータを収集した。因子分析の結果、親の持つ学習観は、情報処理の深い・浅いの軸で多様なものであることが示された。さらに、パス解析の結果から、深い学習観は、子の学歴への期待と並んで、学歴の高さと効果的な関わり行動のとりやすさの関連を媒介していた。こうした学習観の違いが、学業達成の文化的再生産とどのように関わっているかを論じる。 This repository holds the supplementary information for the manuscript (written in Japanese with English abstract) "The role of parents’ conceptions of learning on children’s academic achievement with referring to the cultural reproduction." Abstract: Little research thus far has focused on the role of parents’ conception of learning on children’s academic achievement. We examined the relationship among parents’ household incomes, educational history, conceptions of learning, expectation about their children’s academic achievement, and parenting behaviors. We collected data from 400 parents of elementary school and junior high school students via a web-based survey. Results of a factor analysis showed that the parents’ conceptions about learning varied regarding the dimension of deep or surface information processing. Moreover, results of a path analysis revealed that, along with the expectation about their children’s academic achievement, deep conceptions of learning mediated the relationship between a high level of education and a high frequency of beneficial parenting behaviors. We discuss how these concepts are involved in the cultural reproduction.
