Wiki Version:
Data created through a research project needs to be managed in order to be findable, reusable, and understandable throughout the research lifecycle. Collaborative data management allows all members of a research team to contribute, increasing openness and transparency, but also complexity. Developing data management plans helps define the who, what, where, and when of data creation and use. A shared, collaborative plan helps all participants keep their data and other materials organized.
