This project aims to improve our understanding of the longer-term safety of antenatal corticosteroid administration for child health.
We use a regression discontinuity design, which exploits the abrupt changes in antenatal corticosteroid administration practices at 34+0 weeks' gestation, to examine whether children whose mothers were admitted for delivery just before 34+0 weeks have lower kindergarten readiness scores or higher rates of ADHD medication prescriptions than those born immediately after.
