**The psyTeachR glossary hackathon filed 32 pull requests and 46 issues on github. They added several new terms and started writing translations for Chinese and Brazilian Portuguese. Thank you so much to all who helped!**
The hackathon is ongoing and we always appreciate more help. See the **[Hackathon Instructions](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1FOohcEbWTAXB7OWSvMZzwMI3F--pNNRT3_3DSB6KeB8/edit#heading=h.z92r90qorlpp)** for how to participate.
**Abstract**: Learn about the open-source PsyTeachR glossary (https://psyteachr.github.io/glossary/) and how to contribute. The glossary R package allows you to link terms in RMarkdown documents to the online glossary and/or create glossary tables with crowdsourced or custom definitions. We’ll lead a hands-on session where you can help identify terms that need to be added, refine definitions that need more detail, and create translations of definitions. You’ll learn how to file issues on github or edit the glossary directly and create pull requests (but you can also participate without a github account).
**Pre-requisites**: The session will have activities for people at any stage of expertise about R and stats, including those with no knowledge at all. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about GitHub issues and pull requests, but this will not be required for participation.
**How will the proposed session foster diversity & inclusion?**: The session will be conducted in English, but one task will be to add translations of the glossary in any language. This will increase the reach of the resource. The session will have activities for people at any stage of expertise about R and stats, including those with no knowledge at all. Participation of non-experts will ensure the resource is appropriate to all learning levels.
