The African Society of Hypertension (www.afsoh.com - AfSoH) Initiative through its task forces 1 & 2, is pleased to partner and to announce the launch of the first population longitudinal study on African continent "The Observ study". The project is designed and planned to follow an increasing cohort from a basic 12.000 subjects-cohort in the community for a first period of 12 years. It has been launched in October 2012, in Bukavu site following round 6.000 people in Democratic Republic of Congo. After the first 9-years cycle, other 3 sites will be started in other continental sites.
