**The Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU) is excited to share the products from its Modernizing Scholarship for the Public Good Initiative (2021-2023).** There are several resources from this project: - An Action Framework and guidance for change-makers at public research universities to support engaged- and equity-oriented scholars and scholarship; - Case studies of institutions which have successfully implemented change initiatives; and - A database of strategic actions and tactics based on a review of the peer-reviewed literature, which can be accessed in several formats (directly through Airtable: https://airtable.com/appTKXGHSza4RHNJj/shraoZlcCgYrXCiki, and in text- and spreadsheet formats in the Supplementary Materials section of this project) These resources can be accessed through two project components: 1. **[Main Report][1]** with findings from this project and an executive summary 2. **[Supplementary Materials][2]** contains a) expanded versions of nine university initiatives highlighted in the main report, b) the database of strategic actions and tactics in the text-based and spreadsheet forms, c) a link to access the database tool directly along with guidance for navigating the database tool, Airtable, and d) pdfs of institutional mapping worksheets. ---------- *This project was led by Dr. Elyse Aurbach during her tenure as the APLU Civic Science Fellow.* The resulting material is based upon work supported by the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU) and the Office of Food, Agriculture, and Natural Resources (FANR), the University of Michigan’s Office of the Vice President for Research, the Rita Allen Foundation, the Kavli Foundation, and the Burroughs Wellcome Fund (#1022914) as part of the Civic Science Fellows program, and the National Science Foundation (#1834518).
