In October 2019, the UCR Science to Policy (S2P) held their first Policy Hackathon. “What is a Policy Hackathon?” you may ask. It won’t be the first time we’ve heard the question. The UCR Policy Hackathon was a 48 hour event where interdisciplinary teams of graduate students mine existing data to creatively answer societal problems such as school shootings or first generation college student debt. This poster describes support the UCR Library provided to the UCR S2P Program to help make their first Policy Hackathon a success.
