Description: In the present study, we will use data from the UK Biobank (UKB) to investigate whether i) menopause (yes/no) or ii) menopause type (natural/surgical) is associated with markers of cellular age (i.e., shorter leukocyte telomere length; LTL) and brain age gap (BAG; higher white matter brain BAG and grey matter BAG). Furthermore, we will evaluate whether menopause/menopause type and a history of depression together are associated with shorter LTL and higher white and grey matter BAG. See full introduction in attached PDF for more information.
