Description: Current computer capabilities enable the generation of synthetic faces, which are almost undistinguishable from natural faces. Previous research hypothesized that computer-generated faces are considered as an outgroup compared to natural faces and observed that computer-generated faces are rated to be less trustworthy compared to natural faces. The present study aims to replicate with a larger sample size the findings of a previous study in which it was tested if this finding generalizes to faces that are merely labelled to be computer-generated but are undistinguishable from natural faces.
