Description: Prior research suggests that low relationship power is associated with greater aggression by men, but not women. Central explanations for these gender differences involve that power is central to masculinity, low power threatens masculinity, and being aggressive helps to restore power and masculinity. This study tested these proposed links by examining whether low relationship power is associated with greater aggression for men who are more sensitive to masculinity threats. Please see the files below for all data and materials needed to replicate the results presented in the paper.
