Description: The focus of the D2P group is the development of open software, data, and methods to support the use of UAVs in plot-based research. This group is for anyone interested in standards for data collection and exchange, and the development of re-useable and scalable algorithms. History: D2P began as the Open Drone Data Processing Interest Group (ODDPIG), part of the North American Plant Phenotyping Network (NAPPN) Software and Data for Field Phenomics Affinity Group (SDFPAG), a trajectory driven by scope refinements and acronym quality. Acknowledgements: Funding from Ag2PI to Max Feldman, Filipe Matias, David LeBauer, and Jennifer Lachowiec for the project "Empowering High-Throughput Phenotyping using Unoccupied Aerial Vehicles (UAVs)"
