Description: Having found support for the hypothesis that misleading bait questions can influence observer's memory for the evidence of a case, we are curious whether such memory errors can influence observer's perceptions of the guilt of a suspect. This project aims at testing the hypothesis that misleading bait questions can cause people to remember (and believe in the existence of) evidence that does not actually exist, and this in turn can induce them to perceive the suspect in that case to be more likely to be guilty.
