Wiki Version:
This repository provides data of the 2017 German federal election. Data are provided by the German Bundeswahlleiter (see below). The most convinient data file is "election_modeling_data.csv". This file provides a merge of the following sources: - election results - socio economic data (eg., unemployment) - spatial data for geo visualization of the administrative districts in Germany The file "election_modeling_data_short.csv" provides a "narrower" version (less columns). Please see "socec_dict.csv" for a code book. --- This dataset is based on data published by the Bundeswahlleiter 2017, (c) Der Bundeswahlleiter, Wiesbaden 2017, https://www.bundeswahlleiter.de/info/impressum.html, Data is made available for unrestricted use provided the source is credited. In addtion, there are some files with R objects from some modeling analyses. For instance, check [this](https://data-se.netlify.com/2018/08/25/bayesian-modeling-of-populist-party-success-in-german-federal-elections/) blog post.
