One thing to note about the sample is that there are sites at which hunters employ trapping strategies. Trapping is relatively common in Gabon, for instance. In some cases, the collaborating researchers submitted observations of trapping and its outcomes. Determining the labor inputs of this hunting was challenging, however, as hunt durations of trapping seemed incommensurate with the durations of other types of hunting in the sample. For this reason, the observations of trapping were omitted from the cross-cultural dataset that was analyzed for the paper and included in the *cchunts* package.
