Wiki Version:
Expectations ------------ We have used related dual-task paradigms to examine the ego depletion effect. We have found small to medium effect sizes for this effect. We have used Stroop tasks but also ther tasks to manipulate ego depletion (e.g., solving difficult calculations with interfering noise(. The E-task and the MSIT have however not been used before in our lab. So, as these tasks have not been employed in our lab, we predict to replicate the ego depletion effect. However, considering our work and other work we expect to find a small to medium effect sizes for both the reaction times and the RTV.
