Wiki Version:
Once the data for all 100 participants are in, we will remove data from participants who are non-native speakers of English. We will also remove data from participants exhibiting "reading" times shorter than 0.05 seconds per word. If removing participants leads to fewer than 20 participants per condition, we will collect additional data until this criterion is met. In case of unequal numbers of participants per condition, we will remove the last-run participants of the conditions with the most participants until all groups have the same sample size. For each participant we will use the four blame scores (blame Mark for scuffle, blame John for scuffle, blame Mark for injury, blame John for injury). We will perform a 2 (order or mentioning) x 2 (order of questions) ANOVA to examine if these blame scores differ across conditions.
