**Workshop Description:** This workshop will focus on the fundamentals of data visualization---purpose, visualization types, and best practices---followed by a hands-on session of creating visualizations in Microsoft Excel. Participants will leave the workshop with a better sense of when to deploy certain types of visualizations and how to create them. This session is for beginners, and no prior experience creating such visualizations is necessary. **Presenters:** Philip B.
