400 laughter samples downloaded from Soundsnap.com in May of 2017, using the following search term: "LAUGH* -*BOY* -*GIRL* -CARTOON* -GROUP* -CROWD* -ANIMAL -WOMEN -MEN -LADIES -KID -BAB* -TODDLER* -TALK* -SPEECH -SPEAK* -MANIC" (dashes precede excluded keywords). This returned 598 clips, which were then eliminated if they: contained no adult human laughter; contained speech, ambient noise, or multiple speakers; were low-quality vintage recordings; or were tagged with the words “ghost,” “clown,” “cartoon,” or “crazy.”
