# Purpose
----------
The goal of this project is to determine a multivariate solution to multisensory hypersensitivity (MMH), and the extent to which MMH predicts longitudinal chronic pelvic pain outcome, in a cohort of deeply phenotyped women experiencing a variety of pain conditions, including:
* Dysmenorrhea
* Chronic pain
* Bladder pain syndrome
# Hypotheses
----------
Dr. Kevin Hellman predicted a three factor solution across our chosen variables:
* Factor 1: pressure pain thresholds (PPTs), both external and internal, will load together with some influence from bladder pain
* Factor 2: after pain ratings from PPTs and visual + audio stimulation tasks
* Factor 3: conditioned pain modulation and temporal summation will mainly load on this or lower components
However, these predicted factors were not observed. Rather, we observed a three factor solution:
* Factor 1: Multimodal Hypersensitivity
* Factor 2: Pressure Pain Threshold Stimulus-Response function
* Factor 3: Bladder Hypersensitivity
