Wiki Version:
In 2018, PhD student DuBose (OU) examined the effects of mussels on fish survival during drought, and the effects of a punctuated mussel die-off on nutrient cycling and resource abundance (algae and macroinvertebrates) in cattle tanks that simulated drying stream pools. The results of this experiment were published in Ecology of Freshwater Fish, and the data and analysis code are archived here.
