Description: This partnered scoping review investigates the program properties and outcome evaluations in dance for health research studies for older people. To identify potential ‘active ingredients’ of dancing, we must define the contents of dance programs and how they vary, understand how change in health outcomes is estimated, and identify outcomes that are under-represented in research, but important for an ageing population. The goal of the ‘inputs’ scoping review is to identify current reporting practices of dance programs in published studies, and variability in the development, design, artistic qualities, and delivery of these programs. The ‘outputs’ scoping review aims to describe outcome domains, measurement tools and potential heterogeneity of measures used to evaluate dance programs for older adults. These partnered reviews are the first to map program properties and outcome evaluation measures of dance for health programs.
