Wiki Version:
***Predictions*** 1. Based on previous experiments, we expect overall performance in the task (operationalized as percentage correct and d-prime) to be low, but above chance level (p(correct)>0.5; d'>0). 2. Object localization performance in the saccade condition will be lower than in the replay condition. 3. Localization performance will be better, the lower the spatial frequency of the applied stimulus: d'(SF=0.5) > d'(SF=1) > d'(SF=2). 4. Gabor orientation relative to the retinal trajectory of the Gabor (resulting from eye movement and stimulus movement) can be described in four factor levels: horizontal, vertical, orthogonal, and parallel. We predict that gratings parallel to their retinal movement trajectory will be discriminated best and orthogonal orientations worst, as they should lead to more conspicuous motion streaks (Alais et al., 2011). 5. Correct responses will have shorter reaction times. **References** Alais, D., Apthorp, D., Karmann, A., Cass, J. (2011).
