# Dataset facial expressions and physiological responses evoked by different types of stressors ## Overview This dataset comprises various types of physiological and behavioral data collected from participants in different tasks. The data is organized into three types of files: .bdf, .xdf, and .csv. - **.bdf files:** Contain Electrodermal Activity (EDA) and Electrocardiogram (ECG) data. - **.xdf files:** Contain time markers per participant. The first two numbers in all filenames represent the participant identifier. - **.csv files:** Contain video data retrieved with OpenFace. The task associated with each file is indicated by the part of the filename after the underscore. - **featuresAndLabelsNonStandardized.csv:** Raw signals transformed into features, including subjective measures. All participants are included in this file. Data has not been standardized/scaled. ## File Naming Convention ### .bdf Files - File format: `<ParticipantID>.bdf` - Example: `01.bdf` (Participant 01) ### .xdf Files - File format: `<ParticipantID>.xdf` - Example: `02.xdf` (Participant 02) ### .csv Files - File format: `<ParticipantID>_<Task>.csv` - Example: `03_2.csv` (Participant 03, Sing-a-Song Task) ## Task Codes - **1A:** Cognitive Stress Task - **1B:** Cognitive Baseline Task - **2:** Sing-a-Song Task - **3A:** Baseline Speaking Task - **3B:** Stress Speaking Task - **4:** Startle Movie - **0:** Relaxing Movie - baseline recording ## Usage Researchers and analysts can leverage this dataset for various studies related to human physiology and behavior. ## Reference/Citation For more information on features, tasks and data collection: [Bruin, J., Stuldreher, I.V., Perone, P., Hogenelst, K., Naber, M., Kamphuis, W. & Brouwer, A.M.
