JEFF ELISON, Adams State University

The NEO-FFI and Compass of Shame Scale were administered to 154 undergraduates. Some previous results failed to replicate; however, the most important hypotheses for each shame-coping style were supported by correlations with at least two personality traits (rs: .17-.63). The largest effects were between Neuroticism and Attack Self and Withdrawal.
