Description: The Science of Behavior Change (SOBC) Research Network, funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Common Fund Program, aims to implement a mechanisms-focused, experimental medicine approach to behavior change research and to develop the tools required to implement such an approach. The experimental medicine approach involves (1) identifying an intervention target; (2) develop assays (measures) to permit verification of the target; (3) engaging the target through experimentation of intervention; and (4) testing the degree to which target engagement produces the desired behavior change. The SOBC Measures Repository is the source for behavioral science measures that have been or are in the process of being validated in accordance with the experimental medicine approach. This Open Science Framework (OSF) page hosts the full details of the validation process for each measure posted in the SOBC Measures Repository to ensure openness and transparency of the science.
