Wiki Version:
Hypothesis is that the incremental theory intervention will significantly reduce the correlation between daily adversity (e.g., self-reported negative social events) and secondary appraisals (one item asking how much one thinks one can handle the stress from that adversity). This hypothesis comes from past belonging interventions conducted by Walton et al. In addition, we are collecting daily cortisol levels. We expect to reduce the correlation between daily adversity and daily levels of cortisol.
