Wiki Version:
Based on the results from our first replication attempt, we decided to run a second study modified to achieve even higher impact. Specifically, participants drew a ball from a sack containing 4 regular balls and 4 balls marked with a shamrock. The experimenter said either "This is the ball you will use" or "Wow! You get to use the lucky ball". The second manipulation check was updated to match this manipulation, and 2 items were added to the questionnaire at the end of the experiment (general belief in luck and self-reported golf score--both collected after DV measurement). We have also created a video demonstrating the experimental protocol for both studies. It is posted [here][1]. The student actors in the video are 2 of the 3 students who served as research assistants in the experiment. [1]: https://openscienceframework.org/project/AWR6j/files/protocol_video_-_final.wmv/
