Here you can find the following files: **1. **Data analysed and plots in Jasp** file:** This includes i) all the experimental data against chance level (0.5), ii) Post hoc tests comparing the conditions, iii) correlations between accuracy for each video and differential heart rate of portrayed actors, and iv) individual raincloud plots. **2. HBandPerformancepertrial file:** This includes the number of correct responses per video (up to 24) and the difference between the heart rate of portrayed actors. **3. List of video montages file:** the names of the list of stimuli used in the experiment. The letters denote the actors (A,B,C,etc) shown in the video-montages. **4. Supplementary materials file:** Supplementary figures, tables and analysis, as indicated in the manuscript. **5. PerformanceEXPT file:** performance for each experiment and participant in the whole study (proportion of correct responses). **6. PlotFigures file:** Matlab file including code to plot participants' performance (including correlations between accuracy for each video and differential heart rate of portrayed actors). **7.
