Luigi Stefanini was a leading exponent of Italian Personalism. The essay focuses on his idea of ‘person’ and on the related metaphysical implications. In particular, it develops Stefanini’s idea of pedagogic Personalism, which is declined, at last, in a precise conception of school, meant as “School of Dialogue”. In such a context, the master plays a central role as mediator of every social relationship between the students.
