![enter image description here][1] **User Experience (UX) Working Group** ================================== *What is the UX Group?* --------------------------- [**The User Experience (UX) Working Group**][2] is a subset of the [Digital Libraries Federation User Studies Assessment Interest Group][3] and previous named Usability Studies Guidelines and Best Practices Working Group. The working group formed in 2015 and builds on the following work products of previous AIG working groups: [Surveying the Landscape: Use and Usability Assessment of Digital Libraries][4] Our group takes a multi-faceted approach to determining the best way to develop guidelines and best practices in user and usability studies related to digital libraries. There are many aspects to user and usability studies, and we welcome others who would like to pursue them. Suggested areas of investigation within the scope of this group includes: identifying users and user behavior, learnability, accessibility, and usability. As this is a tremendous task, we encourage you to join in the effort, as clarity in this area will save us all a great deal of work, resources and confusion. *How can I join the working group?* ------------------------------------------------------------------ Our group is open to all. We are folks who specialize in different aspects related to digital libraries and encourage people from novices to experts in user experience to help our efforts. *Have questions or want to give feedback? Get in touch with us!* ------------------------------------------------------------------ Contact us via [our Google Group][10] or reach out directly to the working group's facilitator, [Kate Thornhill, thornhik@ohsu.edu][11] [1]: http://dlfmetadataassessment.github.io/img/dlf-aig.png [2]: https://wiki.diglib.org/Assessment:User/UX [3]: https://wiki.diglib.org/Assessment:User_Studies [4]: https://osf.io/uc8b3/ [10]: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/dlf-aig-ux-working-group [11]: http://mailto:thornhik@ohsu.edu
