Description: Penile cancer is a rare and aggressive malignancy with significant social impact and psychological ramifications. In the United Kingdom, there are over 600 new penile cancer cases every year, accounting for less than 1% of adult male cancers. Given that penile cancer can be associated with significant symptoms, patient reported outcomes is thus, just as important as oncologic outcomes. Reporting of such cancer related quality of life outcomes data for penile cancer is however very limited and non-standardised. The Specialist Penile Cancer Team based at the Leeds Cancer Centre is a multidisciplinary group, which provides service for the 5.8 million catchment population of Yorkshire and Humberside area. At an external cancer peer review in July 2017, the paucity of quality of life related outcomes data relating to this service was highlighted as concerning. In response to this, the clinical team aim to collect and analyse patient reported outcomes to feed into service improvement.
