Description: As far as we know, this is the first study that has examined the cos-utility of a compassion-based intervention (CBI). Patients with fibromyalgia receiving Attachment-Based Compassion Therapy (ABCT) exhibited larger improvements in quality of life than those patients doing relaxation exercises, while being less costly three months after the 8-week treatment program had ended. Despite its preliminary nature, this work might initiate a new era of economic evaluations of CBIs.
