Description: The goal of this project is to assess the current state of openness and transparency in the automotive user research community. We want to investigate whether recent efforts towards open science in the broader scientific community are reflected in the papers published at the ACM Conference on Automotive User Interfaces and Interactive Vehicular Applications (AutomotiveUI). To do so, we compare papers published in 2017 and 2018 with those published in 2022 and 2023, and compare the results for the openness and transparency criteria with those reported by Niksirat et al. for CHI (https://osf.io/k35w4).
