Wiki Version:
Chapman & Anderson (2014) showed that disgust sensitivity but not general emotionality (e.g., measured with STAI and trait aggression) predicts moral reactions, indicating that disgust has a uniquely moral function. In this project we plan to extend these results by investigating the role of the individual differences in Body Odor Disgust Sensitivity (BODS, Liuzza et al., 2016) in predicting specifically disgust reactions (vs. anger) to purity (vs. harm) moral transgressions.
