Description: This project has evolved out of an experimental psychology course at Regensburg University. We will test whether the finding of Kroczek & Mühlberger (2022) still holds when persons use emojis to intiate a social interaction with a virtual agent. In a face-to-face situation with a virtual agent, participants will be cued to send an emoji (happy, neutral, angry) towards the virtual agent in front of them. The agents will then respond with either an angry or happy facial expression.
