**About This Project** With the aim of improving the generalisability of psychological research, we are seeking to try and remove (some of) the barriers that might typically inhibit or demotivate researchers from stepping outside of WEIRD (Western, Educated, Industrialized, Rich, Democratic) society samples and engaging in cross-cultural collaborations. One of the main barriers to improving the generalisability of research is the limited access to heterogeneous samples of participants. In the absence of developing collaborations through chance meetings at conferences or institutional links, it’s often far from straightforward to collect data in non-WEIRD societies; this is perhaps especially true for postgraduate students or early career researchers. Here, we would like to effectively "open our labs" for researchers who would like to engage in cross-cultural data collection collaborations - we would especially like to hear from any researchers who have effects from data collected using participants in a WEIRD society and would like to have us replicate the experiment. Ideally, this could be as simple as you sharing the code for your experimental program and we’ll set it up and collect the data for you. At the outset, we have one highly conscientious and motivated research assistant who is available to work on this part time; hopefully more funding will be available for this depending on interest.
