Description: Although it has been documented that both valance-less feedback (indicating mere influence on the environment) and outcome-bearing feedback (indicating the gain of a tangible reward such as food or money) can affect motivation for performing future actions, it is not clear whether they based on the same mechanisms. The current study tests the statistical computation that dictates the effect of each feedback type on future behavior.
