Description: The properties, types of hydrodynamic mechanisms, and resultant deposits of gravity-driven sediment-laden flows in submarine channels are still poorly known. Gravelly sand-laden flows are probably the worst understood. This project aims the creation of models/paradigms supported by the integration of data sets from extraordinary case studies from modern and ancient deposits as well as experimental studies.
