Description: We conducted interviews with 41 caregivers of children with asthma (25 in St. Louis, Missouri and 16 in Gainesville, Florida, held from 12/17/18 through 5/19/19) and 12 healthcare providers (7 in St. Louis, Missouri and 5 in Gainesville, Florida, held from 11/7/19 through 3/3/2021, with all but one interview completed in 2019). We conducted participant observation and additional interviews with children and families in 9 households, which included 14 children with asthma (7 in St. Louis, Missouri and 7 in Gainesville, Florida) and 5 siblings of a child with asthma (all in Florida). Household visits and child interviews were held 1/18/20 through 3/20/2021, with a COVID-related pause from 3/9/20 through 9/12/20. Child interviews from 9/13/20 through 3/20/21 were held virtually.
