Research Firsts Interpretation and Acknowledgments ![Exhibition panel with overview of display and acknowledgement section][1] This is the Interpretation and Introduction Panel from Research Firsts acknowledging the team behind the concept and delivery of the exhibition, as well as those on the judging panel. **Panel text in full** **Celebrating moments of revelation and discovery** To mark the Advanced Research Centre’s first birthday we asked our research community to think upon their own research-inspired firsts. These might include the first time something is understood, observed, or demonstrated. Or they might represent a memorable moment such as a first job, book or performance. The display you see here represents a selection of the ideas we received. We hope they convey the spirit of curiosity and discovery that drives, and indeed unites, research journeys across all subjects and topics. **Acknowledgements** University of Glasgow: Hannah Campbell, Kevin O’Dell, Nicol Keith, Nick Bruce and Raymond Dickson. ARC-at-1 Project Team: Kenneth Skeldon, Casi Dylan, Zara Gladman, John Harris, Laura Tyler, Aileen Gardner, Aislinn McVeigh, Tracy Ross and to all our staff and students for submitting their research first concepts.
