Wiki Version:
We examined whether habitual pursuit of various emotion regulation goals is associated with habitual strategy use (N = 399). Suppressors pursued more impression management goals, while reappraisers pursued more hedonic goals and fewer contra-hedonic goals. These findings suggest that habitual goal pursuit may influence emotion regulation strategy use.
