# **ECU Open Science Framework Template** ##### This template was designed as part of an interdisciplinary research award to ECU Libraries and the Department of Physical Therapy. --- This template was designed in order to help ECU students, faculty, and staff get started with utilizing the Open Science Framework (OSF). Each section or component has its own wiki space to provide a brief explanation on the suggested content for the component and in some cases links to helpful resources. This design is primarily meant to be used as start in organizing a project. OSF allows projects to hold all their materials, notes, data, analysis code, etc. in a single location via use of the wiki, the built-in OSF storage, or by linking other storage options directly into the project. In order to use this Template: 1. Make a copy by returning to the main project page and clicking the duplicate icon in the top-right corner of the page directly to the right of the Private/Public options menu. From there, select “Duplicate Template” and a new, private project will be created with this one as a template. ![http://help.osf.io/m/projects/l/707290-create-a-project-from-a-template][1] (Picture from the [OSF Guides][2]) 2. Add contributors to your project by following the [OSF guide][4] or have them [request access][5]. 6. Customize your project! Use, rename, or delete components that have been provided. Edit the wiki pages of each component to suit your own personal needs or the needs of your research group. Link any third-party storage service providers to bring in any notes or papers you already have in your preferred cloud storage such as OneDrive. --- **You must comply with ECU, University of North Carolina, and federal requirements related to privacy and data security.
